Auto.ricerca.alice.it: how does it work?

For months, Telecom Italy has implemented in its network the concept of autosearch , what I would do in this post is to explain the operation without entering into a discussion "right or wrong".

New graphics

I decided to put a graphic clearer and more readable, even if the previous one was different from the usual and then made it more unique blog.
Unfortunately, many readers have complained about and you know: the customer is always right! : D
What do you say? Do you like the new look?

Eeepc as a car computer

The car computer, are "small" pc installed, or better to say integrated into the car, as if they were a car radio to the nth degree.
Of course, the biggest problem is that solutions already made there are very few and usually only on luxury cars, but if we want something on our utilitarian, the only way is to arm yourself with patience, passion for do -it-yourself and technical knowledge I would say that more discrete.
The results are often very high level, not parlaimo of a cheesy thing, but a real full integration with the car!

How to form your own distro LIVE

Each distribution has a version of "live" to allow you to verify, test and study how it works and if it is the distro that does for us.
But once you have found our distribution, once we customized with programs that interest us and freed of unnecessary programs that we believe would be a great thing to be able to re-turn it into a "distro" live.

To lower the temperature, there are many solutions: from liquid nitrogen completely passive, as if to say a thing that can handle even my grandmother, a solution should be handled with extreme caution.

Unetbootin: How to install "any" distribution of Linux EeePC

Also in the endless pursuit of the final distribution to install on my eeepc 701 I was trying to figure out if the steps I did to install mandriva 2008 and 2009 could be applied to other distributions. have a key at startup, starts the distribution and then download the packages from the internet is much more convenient than downloading the iso, create a key that contains and that it is "bootable" in order to do the install on those PCs that are not equipped with a CD and I find that, of course, the idea has already been developed and expanded!

Satellite Navigation with Linux

A lack I find using Linux is the lack of commercial software as there are at Microsoft, even if they are willing to pay, many times you do not find anything. If we look at the field of GPS navigation, this gap becomes really unbearable.
