Vintage browser: Lynx, Links and w3m

Prior to IE8, Firefox 3 and all other browsers that peek on our computers, we sailed well with other tools and systems with much more primitive! Very simple browser, showing only the text with little formatting option ...
No graphics, text only, thanks!

Lynx is a product of the Distributed Computing Group, itself a member of the Academic Computing Services University of Kansas and was originally developed by Lou Montulli, Michael Grobe and Charles Rezac. Garrett Blythe created DosLynx and later joined the Lynx project. Macrides Foteos brought much of Lynx to VMS and ran it for a while '. In 1995, Lynx was released under the GPL and is now developed by a group of volunteers.

Website was developed by the Czech Republic Mikuláš Patočka His group, Twibright Labs, later developed version 2, this version can display graphics.

W3m developed by Akinori Ito dell'univesita 'Yamagata.

These three browsers are purely textual, and to move you simply use the arrow keys and the Enter key.

Because these browsers?
Probably will never use them, not even the most ipovdenti use them because there are better software, but it's good to know that they exist because you might be in situations where the graphics are not there and therefore serves as an access to a Search Engine address this lack! : D
