I read on eeeguides that you can feed the eeepc with a solar panel, although seeing the specifications of the solar cell (you can find on ebay for a few Euros) 5W in full sun, it is unthinkable to feed it while it is running, probably the can be used to charge the battery when not in use, thereby lengthening the overall duration.
