Giga Nas

After evaluating several solutions, I show that I chose for my home NAS.
The selection criteria were essentially the ease of use, do not have a proprietary technology and have a low cost, while technically had to meet the following characteristics: have room for at least two discs, able to operate in raid 1 (mirror), not having a configuration tool connected to an operating system but to be a browser.
Since I had two 160GB drives, I tried a product that was sold without disks.
I have discarded the products of brands "noble", as a matter of cost, did not want to spend more than a hundred dollars, while wondering what the various D-Link, Netgear, iomega had much higher prices.

Storing sensitive data? Use a NAS.

With the digital age that is slowly taking up all our real life, we are now surrounded by important data, especially sensitive ones who do not want and we can not afford to lose.

Imagine the picture of a vacation, made with the ubiquitous digital camera, but also a document you're working, simple programs made by yourself or maybe simply a backup of your PC, losing this data would be to lose hours of work if the data can be reconstructed in some way, or losing everything permanently.
